my name is Bärbel Helbing. Me, too, I'm a little bit „Rauhut“! My Grandma was still a real one!

For several years I'm working on my family tree. Today I'm able to trace back my ancestors back to Stanislaus Rauhut.  He was born about 1768 (where?). First he was a shepherd in Starygrod and later a farmer and coachmen in Bozacin.

The search for ancestors was an exciting time! It's a strange feeling when looking in the church records in the State Archives in Poznan you find the birth records of your great-great-grandparents and the marriage records of the great-grandparents of third to fouth degree. Heebie-jeebies feeling! I think it's good to know the names of his ancestors and get a feeling of her life to.

But there are still open questions: Where did the family come from, and when did they come to Poznan? When exactly they went away again, and why? There are still researching stuff. Maybe some of you may also assist me in the puzzle?
